Our Story
Gendang Beleq is the name of a set of traditional Sasak musical instruments, because its size is large compared to the size of a drum in general. Gendang means drum and beleq means big. There are two types of large drums (Gendang Beleq) called gendang mama (male) and gendang nina (female).
The water flowing through the statue is the embodiment of the beating drum that flows throughout the resort.
Peresean Wall
Land Element
Two gigantic wall in-between our villas are inspired by the shield used in Lombok’s traditional ritual, Peresean. Peresean is one of the traditional art fight as a symbol of manhood of Sasak young men. Now, you can still experience the rush of adrenalines watching Peresean at most festivals in Lombok.
Peresean is a battle between two men armed with rattan sticks and thick, hard buffalo hide shields.
Staircase To Heaven
Mountain Element
Stairs are a strong symbol of transistion, change, transformation and growing wiser– leading our minds to a new, different and hopefully higher level. Stairs have been used, even in ancient cultures, as a symbol of going from one level of being to the next level- one step at a time.
Kamana Pool
Mountain Elements
As mentioned before, the higher area of Svarga is inspired by Rinjani Mountain and its story. The crater of Rinjani, Segara Anak, in the reason why we place our main pool so high. We hope as you dine and relax here, you will feel the same ambience as the extraordinary view is just as amazing.
